Viru successfully participated in the 10th Expoalimentaria Innovation Contest 2019, held on Wednesday 25 Thursday 26 and Friday 27 September at the Jockey Plaza Exhibition Center in Lima, Peru.
This event is organized every year by ADEX, the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and PromPerú. The Contest awarded Viru with the 1st place in the category “Best product for the healthy lifestyle trend” for its product Grain Ready Meal of Lentil and Red Quinoa with sweet and sour mango and sesame sauce. Viru also won the 1st place in the category “Best Gourmet and Delicatessen product” and a 2nd place in the category “Pre Cooked Products”, both thanks to the product Party Tray.
The Contest seeks to recognize Peruvian companies that successfully develop ingenious and creative new products for the food industry. This 10th edition, brought together more than 80 visiting countries, 560 exhibitors and more than 1400 innovative products.
